The Suoni Ensemble
The Suoni Ensemble
The Suoni Ensemble.
The Suoni Ensemble has recently been formed in Copenhagen to perform concerts both in Denmark and the rest of Europe of the music of contemporary classical composer Siobhan Lamb, Denmark resident of 3 years.
Suoni is an Italian word meaning sound and each musician has been chosen for their unique sound quality.
The Ensemble is formed to realise composer Siobhan Lamb’s vision of a group of highly skilled musicians from several musical genre (including classical and improvising artists), who explore a given narrative from literature, through the performance and development of her work.
The musicians within the ensemble come from several countries within the European Union with a strong Danish and British core , thus creating a multi-cultural environment where ideas can be shared and developed.
These pictures are of The Suoni preparing for a performance of Meditations in Copenhagen.
As well as performing Meditations throughout Europe in 2013, two new works are being prepared for The Suoni “Dances and Dreams” and “Through the mirror” tales from Childhood for which the Suoni will be joined by Saxophonist Helge Albin.
